One Week Left

The countdown has begun as we only have one more week in our Chicago apartment. It is Sunday night and we are sitting on the couch watching a movie on our Sharp 19" tube television because we have sold our Samsung flat screen. The apartment looks like a war zone with boxes and packing supplies covering most of the floor. At least the cats are having fun hiding among the mess and keeping us awake at night! A week from tonight we will be renting a U-Haul and driving out to Connecticut so we may deliver half of our property to Johnny, Lauren's brother, who just got his first apartment and the other half will be stored for 2-3 years while we are abroad. Before leaving we will be celebrating Christmas in Connecticut and New Years in Wisconsin. Our last big event will be attending a wedding on January 10th in Massachusetts. We have booked our flights and will be flying Emirates Airlines on a direct flight from New York to Dubai on January 13th. We will be flying the new Airbus A380 which has two full levels where we will be sitting upper deck. If you happen to be on the same flight, you will be able to find me at the bar in the back. We are sad to say goodbye to all our family and friends but we are also excited to escape the Chicago winter!
