Homeless

As we left Pennsylvania we were excited to finally get into familiar territory, unfortunately we were approaching New York City and the all-day rush hour. We decided to go around the city to avoid traffic but got caught going over the Tappan Zee Bridge. As we approached the top of the bridge we found the ultimate cliche, a Coca-Cola truck had broken down at the top of the bridge.

Regardless of the traffic, we arrived in Milford in time to celebrate Chistmas with the O'Connells. In past years we had celebrated Christmas around 5:00 am, just after the Cheese Mouse had visited, however we didn't get started until 11:00am. We all had a great Christmas but Dan was probably the most suprised when he walked into the garage to find a grill, which he used to cook brats the following weekend.

We then flew out to Minnesota to celebrate New Years. We had planned a New Years party at the Vanney Cabin and celebrated with my parents and all my hometown friends. We had a great time snowmobiling during the day and playing pool, darts, and boot hockey (we shoveled off a rink down on the ice). We finished the night by relaxing in the hottub, which was much needed after getting beat up on the ice.

While the holidays seemed to go by too fast, we headed back to Milford to finalize our plans for the big move. During this time we also took a trip up to Boston to visit Lauren's friend Kristen and to attend Karl's wedding. It was great to see all the Fraternity guys again and as with tradition all the guys were in rough shape for the Sunday morning brunch.

We made it back to Milford on Sunday, which gave us a day and a half to finish our packing as our departure was scheduled for the following Tuesday. The time had come for us to make the move but it seemed like we still had a million things to do.
