Ciao Bella! Bambina Bellisima! Principessa!

Hello and Goodbye Pretty Girl! Beautiful Baby! Princess!

That's ALL we heard while in Italy. And no, it wasn't directed towards Aaron, believe it or not, but rather to our own little Miss V! Veronica was the hit of Rome, Florence and Pisa and the Italians went CRAZY over her!!!! Not just Italians, in all actuality, but everyone vacationing there as well. I think more people have pictures of Veronica than they do of the Colesium, David and Sistine Chapel!!! LOL...It's no big surprise and doesn't really weird me out anymore when people ask me if they can take a picture of Veronica...it happened ALL OVER Italy!

Aside from Miss V's popularity, we had a wonderful, amazing, fun-filled time on our vacation!

We started off with three days in Rome. We stayed at a beautiful hotel and went to the Colesium, Vatican and Vatican Museum, ate at tons of restaurants, and went to lots of shops. We ate delicious pastas, margherita pizzas, brushetta with juicy red tomatos, creamy gelatos in flavors like pistachio, rose and caramel and drank tons of red wine. The food was so fresh and tasty. Crusty breads, fragrant olive oils and pecorino cheese. Even my brothers agreed...Italian food is better than Olive Garden (which is HUGE coming from them!).

We then went off to Florence. Our hotel was gorgeous and we were so close to everything. We went to the top restaurants, ate TONS of authentic Tuscan food. We shopped, went to all the designer stores and little cheapie tourist shops...nothing was missed! We went to "El Duomo", the Gates of Paradise, saw the David, artwork by Michaelangelo and Da Vinci. We spent a day with a Florentine chef who taught us how to make brushetta, pasta, and tiramisu like the Italians do.

We took a day trip to Siena and San Gimignano, two mideval Tuscan villages that are still inhabited today. We went wine tasting in Chianti and rode through Tuscany with all the beautiful villas and lush mountains and valleys. We also stopped at a typical Tuscan village and browsed through the stores, eating pizza the whole time!

My mom celebrated her 60th birthday in Florence and we all gave her Pandora charms for her bracelet. My brother Johnny and his girlfriend Haizea bought my mom a beautiful leather purse as well. We gave her a little "brag-book" scrapbook of Miss V.

It was a vacation we will always remember! It was nice and long, just what we needed! I can't wait to go back to Italy one day, and hopefully next time Veronica will remember it! She's a wonderful traveler and was so easy and well-behaved on the trip. She also has a taste for Italian food now...nothing can come between her and pasta with tomato sauce!

Enjoy the pictures! My brother Danny's friend, Rob..aka "Uncle Rob" came with us and had a blast as well!
