Yesterday we went to Abu Dhabi, another emirate in the UAE. We went for 3 things: the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, Emirates Palace Hotel and the Red Bull air show.
Well, since it was Friday, which is the Muslim holy day, we were only able to see the Mosque from outside and not go into it! So we pulled up and took some pictures. Aaron and I will definitely be going back though, because I am dying to go inside of it. I heard it's fabulous.
At the Palace hotel, they didn't even let us in through the gate because Aaron, Bob and Karen were wearing shorts and no shorts are allowed inside the hotel! Great job, guys! LOL :) Karen was bummed, she really wanted to see the gold plated foyer.
Finally, we did make it to the airshow and hung out there for a while. We had a blast. Veronica wore a swimsuit for the first time ever (pink leopard, of course). We took her into the water and let her play on a blanket in the sand. She was covered head to toe in SPF 50, for those of you who are wondering ;)
It's kind of cool that the first body of water Veronica "swam" in is the Arabian Gulf! Not too many American babies can say that!!
Overall, it was a great day!
