"The Grandma"

A few times a week, my friend Suzanne and I take our daughters out on a power walk around downtown Dubai. We walk along Burj Blvd until we hit the mall. The we step inside the mall, welcome the air conditioning with BIG open arms, and once we exit the mall we get back on the blvd until we come home.

Well, our friends over at Sega Republic (HUGE indoor video game place...Aaron has run around there before with all the 5 year olds who it's primarily targeted at....haha) put a merry go round on the blvd. Suzanne's daughter, Fayth, loves the merry go round so it's become a little "traiditon" that we stop by it and go for 2 rides (and Fayth usually tries to bargain for a 3rd!).

I took Karen along for our walk yesterday and Fayth kept saying she wanted to ride the merry go round with Veronica and "the grandma". It was SO CUTE! So once we came up to it, that's exactly what we did!

Now here's the real good part....after we get off, I don't see our stroller anywhere. Well, turns out it freaking rolled from where I had parked it (without the brake, of course) and rolled right to the busy street. What saved our beautiful stroller from getting smashed by a Range Rover, Mercedes or Rolls Royce? A little sign advertising the merry go round. Of all places to roll, it went right into the sign!

Let me tell you, if I can home with a bent and broken stroller, Aaron would have KILLED me! So funny how things work out.

Lesson learned????

Use the damn brake!!! :)

A picture of us with "the grandma" LOL :)

  1. She now says not only "the grandma" but after meeting Arron's dad...she is calling him "the grandpa!" How funny!! We're up for another walk anytime soon!!
