My mom visits me in Dubai!

At the beginning of the year, Aaron found out that he was accepted to present at a fire protection conference in June...the only catch was that it was in Chicago! It also just happened to be around the time that his father was planning a "boys trip" to Canada to go fishing. Aaron didn't want to leave me 7 months preggo in a foreign country for 2 weeks so I asked my mom if she could possibly come out, hang out with me for 2 weeks, see Dubai, and just in case our little girl decided to make an early entrance in the world, my mom would be with me! My mom (Aileen) was totally into the idea of a 2 week vacation to be with me in Dubai, so she said she would come!

We did SOOO much together including afternoon tea at the Burj Al Arab (sailboat hotel), afternoon trip to the Madinat Jumeirah souk, lots of trips to the Dubai Mall and the gold souk there, 2 doctors appointments (1 being an ultrasound so she got to see her grandaughter!), tons of fabulous restaurants, Atlantis resort, Marina Walk at the Dubai Marina, Mall of the Emirates to see Ski Dubai, and a whole lotta shopping at fabulous stores in Dubai!!!! She also came and started "nesting" herself! She cleaned the apartment like crazy for me, washed, dried and ironed all the baby's clothes, and cleaned out the closets in the baby's room as well as laying down pretty pink paper so her clothes don't have to rest of the bare shelves. Phew!

Needless to say, I am so depressed that she left although I am (kinda) happy to have Aaron back! :) Luckily mom is coming back out in August for 2 more weeks so she can meet her little grandaughter and teach me how to be a mommy!
