Girl's Night!

Last Thursday night, I went out for a "girl's night out" with my friends Heather, Kelly-Anne and Suzanne. We hit up a few stores at the Dubai Mall and then we went to go see "The Ugly Truth" starring Katherine Heigl. OMG It was hilarious!! We were all cracking up like crazy. I cannot believe that the movie wasn't censored. The language was so dirty- reminds me of how we talk at home! ;) I was sitting next to an Emirati guy and I was wondering a few times if he felt weird sitting next to me while they were using various words for the male anatomy! I actually learned a few new ones and will have to start incorporating them into my regular vocabulary soon! We all had a blast and I'm sure we will be doing it again :)

A couple ways the movies are different out here- when you buy your ticket, you also choose your seat...kinda like what would happen if you were to go see a show in New York. The movies are subtitled in Arabic. I was actually thinking of taking a pic of that during the movie for my blog but I don't think the other people in the theater would have been happy with me! After the movie was over, we exited at the front of the theater. It was stadium seating. The place turned into like a nightclub with music going and lights swirling around on the ceiling and walls. It was a little strange- but still pretty cool! Hopefully Aaron and I will be able to see a movie there together...maybe Grandma and Grandpa Vanney can babysit one night for us while they are out here? (hint hint!)

Here we are...looking like the ultimate tourists! I think people were wondering what the heck we thought was so special about the movie theater. Clearly, they didn't realize that Suzanne and I have blogs!
