Our flights home...

First and foremost, Veronica did wonderful! She loves to fly! She was mad at us because we were sitting in economy and she says that she is a "first-class girl" but she forgave her parents who will surely used the money saved for some fabulous outfits for her! ;)

As you can see from my post below, we barely were let out of Dubai. After they let through the gates though, it was smooth sailing (mostly) from there. The one bad thing...on the 14 hour leg of the trip we sat next to the child from hell....Not our child but this wretched little girl who was sitting near us! I love kids too but this one, major OMG! More on that later though...

So the first part of our trip was flying from Dubai to Doha, Qatar. It's only a 45 minute flight. Really easy and quick! We flew Qatar Airlines which was wonderful! Very child friendly and accomodating. We had only bought a lap seat which ment that Veronica would have to be in one of our laps or in a bassinet that attached to the wall in front of us but they gave us a seat for her anyways. We bought a travel approved car seat for her a while back and it fit perfectly into the seat and she sat between us!

On the first flight from Dubai to Doha, Qatar. Ahh! No makeup!!

Aaron and V chillin on the flight...You can see how her carseat fit right into the seat!

She's just a little international jet-setter! ;)

Doha, Qatar. We had a layover here because the tickets were the cheapest! We couldn't justify spending an extra $800 to fly direct! Not when there are cute holiday dresses coming our way ;)

Aaron and Veronica exiting the plane. I love this picture!!

The security in Doha airport was ridiculous. We couldn't believe how over the top it was. We had to go through 2 additional lines where all our stuff was checked. When you have a baby who is formula fed, you are allowed to bring bottles of water onto the plane from outside. Well, they threw out all of Veronica's water. Why would a baby need to eat on a 14 hour flight anyways? They also grabbed my baby out of my arms and patted her down. It was CRAZY! Luckily on the plane they had some boiled water that we were able to use..UGH!

Me and my girlfriend at the Doha airport waiting to board our flight. Still no makeup!

Aaron and Veronica hanging out...doesn't she look like a red head? I love those cheeks!!!

Finally we got onto our flight going to JFK. Once again, the wonderful customer service of Qatar airlines put us in a row of 3 in the first row. Not only did we get extra leg rooom, but we were able to put Veronica in between us and not have to hold her the entire time. That was HUGE!! We boarded the plane and got ready for our 14 hour flight!

Aaron's girls sleeping on the plane!

A little while later, Aaron and V were watching TV. Veronica sneezed twice right onto the screen. Aaron and I could not stop laughing BUT had this been a year ago, before we were preggo, and we saw some other's couple sneeze onto the screen, we would have flipped out. Aaron would have threatened to write a stern letter to someone and I would have given the parents the stink eye. But of course, when it's our kid, we thought it was adorable!

Veronica was having a majorly bad hair day!

The Kid from HELL:

This deserves a little sub-section all to it's own. We sat right next to this couple that had 2 daughters. One daughter was about 3-4 years old and still drank from a bottle (HELLO- WTF!!!) and the other one, the little devil child, was about 1 1/2. She literally, and I mean literally, screamed, screeched, cried, rolled on the ground the ENTIRE flight. We had one half hour break where she was sleeping. It was HELLISH! She woke up our baby soooo many times!!

Wouldn't you think that if you were a parent and taking you two children on a 14 hour flight you would bring some diversional activities? Maybe a toy, coloring book, something? Yeah well these two a-holes (yes, I am still that fired up about this) brough their kids nothing. Nada. Zilch.

The girls were bored as hell, trying to get attention from their parents. No discipline whatsoever. The dad was totally aloof and uninvolved. It was obvious that the mother was extremely exhausted and defeated from the get-go. When we landed and were in baggage claim at JFK, Veronica and I went off to the side while Aaron got our stuff. The mother came and stood near me and her kid was having yet another tantrum. I looked at the mom and said, "Oh my God! I cannot be near you any longer!" and grabbed all over stuff, pushed the stroller and moved about 10 feet away from her!

Here's a picture of a very annoyed Aaron. You can see the devil child to his left! I feel bad for posting this on my blog, but whatever....they sucked!

We finally got into our rental car and made it home! While we were driving over the Tribeca Bridge, there was a beautiful panoramic view of NYC. Breaktakingly Gorgeous! Here is what I ended up with:

LOL!
