The Dubai Mall has a skating rink, a huge aquarium (with the largest piece of plexi-glass in the world...I know, I know, all this "largest" stuff is just getting annoying) and 12.1 million square feet of retail space. Heaven!! Are you surprised that I already know my way around it like the back of my hand?? :) The mall also has a gold souk within it that must have over 100 jewelery stores. If you ever come visit us in Dubai, I will definitely take you here! The mall also has a bunch of American restaurants like Ruby Tuesday, California Pizza Kitchen, Uno's Pizzeria, Cold Stone Creamery, Baskin Robins, McD's, and Cosi, so when I'm here I don't feel that far away from home!
In Dubai, it's illegal to take pictures in public places. We were able to take pictures of us in front of the water fountain below, but I couldn't just take a picture of people I don't know. I see people doing it regardless but I'm not taking any chances!! Anyways, here are some drawings of the Dubai Mall that I took off some website:

Here are a few pictures of Aaron and I in front of the main water fall feature at the mall. The statues are supposed to look like divers going into the fountain:
Here is a drawing picture of the aquarium. You can pay to walk through the aquarium in a tunnel and then go upstairs to see a bunch of tanks and animals. The one thing that bothered me when I went was that tank of pirhannas stood about 3-4.5 feet high (I'm terrible with estimating but it was low enough to the ground that a kid could reach in) and was completely opened at the top. There was a sign that said something to the effect of "watch your children" but a child could easily run up and stick their hand in there!! Clearly someone wasn't thinking.

do they have a rock climbing wall?
