Random guy on the highway (on the left). This is SO COMMON!!! It is not surprising at all to see men walking along the highways, running across the highways, etc. I really don't get it. There is a law in Dubai that is if you are driving on the highway more than 80 km/hr and you run over someone who is trying to cross the highway or walking on the highway, it's their fault, not yours!A "safety first" sign at one of the roundabouts. The roundabouts here are so freakin dangerous and scary! I always close my eyes when Aaron is driving through them.This is the speed limit sign (everything is in kilometers):You find "prayer room" signs all over the malls. In the malls, at prayer time, they also announce the prayer over the loudspeakers. I really want to go into one of the rooms to see what they are like but I don't think the women would appreciate that. I am taking my mom to the Jumeirah Mosque for a mosque tour when she comes here. I haven't been to it yet but I heard it's really interesting! You have to bring a scarf or they will give you one to cover your head while you are there. Our Ford Focus which we are antsy to get rid of. In my opinion, the car is too small to be driving here in Dubai! The driving here is really bad (Sheik Zayed Road, which is the main highway here, is said to be the most dangerous road in the world!).
